Abstract- In this paper laser ablation in distilled water was used to produce Aluminum oxide (Alumina) nano particles. Nanosecond pulsed laser beam (pulse duration~10 ns and wavelength=1.06 micrometer) with fixed fluence 0f 55 j/cm2 was used to generate the nano particles in this experiment. The effect of exposure time (number of laser pulses) in particle sizes was investigated. Electron microscope together with image processing technique was used to evaluate the results. The experimental results show that the nano-particles’ size can be influenced by the number of laser pulses.
