In this paper, the absorption properties in an asymmetric structure are investigated by varying the thickness of Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST) nanolayer. The results show that there is the possibility of obtaining absorption enhancement in either amorphous or crystalline phases of GST by an appropriate choice of its thickness.
