Metamaterials as a man-made artificial material have attracted many interests in recent years. This paper is devoted to design the unit cell of invisibility cloak as a significant part of metamaterial. The proper unit cell for invisibility cloak using split resonator is designed in this paper. We find the effective permittivity and permeability of the designed unit cell based on two methods with respect to required special dielectric permittivity and permeability for invisibility cloak. Finally, using the result extracting from the two methods which are in good agreement, we prove that the design unit cell can be applied as an invisibility cloak unit cell at the operating frequency of 11 GHz.
