Abstract: (1411 Views)
In this paper laser backwriting process was investigated. The steel target was ablated onto the quartz substrate by pulsed Nd:YAG laser irradiation. microchannels formed following interaction of the ablated particles with the substrate, were studied. The results show that the depth of the channels depends on the number of pulses and the laser fluences. In addition at a threshold fluence and number of pulses the surface plasmons were formed. UV-Visible spectroscopy and the surface profilometery were used for the investigation of the absorption and ion penetration rates in to the substrate, respectively.
