Investigation of Gaussian Pulse Propagation in an Optical Fiber System with Matrix Method
Todays, investigation of pulse propagation in an optical system is an important topic .The usual method is solving the wave equation which is complicated in many optical fiber systems. In this paper in addition to introduce the ABCD matrix method, a specific system including amplitude modulator, optical band pass filter and dispersive line is considered and the temporal matrices is introduced, then with considering a Gaussian pulse as input, the output is simulated. Results can be used as a modulated pulse in mode locking fiber lasers.
