Abstract: (2381 Views)
One of the approaches to increase the efficiency of solar cell devices based on semiconductor nanostructures is to use multiple exciton generation (MEG) process, that in certain circumstances, several excitons are generated by the absorption of a single photon. In this paper, we have studied the effect of changing the size of zero-dimensional PbSe nanostructures on the MEG process by many-body EOM-CCSD method. The simulation results showed that changes in size have little impact on the MEG threshold, but can boost the absorption spectra at high energy states.
