Abstract:   (2453 Views)

In this work, stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) effect in narrow spectral width Ytterbium-doped high power double-clad CW fiber laser is investigated by solving the rate equations. In these lasers, SBS effect has the most influence on output power. Results of simulation indicate that decreasing the pump wavelength, reflectivity of input mirror and selection of backward pumping configuration leads to increasing Brillouin threshold which highly depends on fiber length, core diameter and laser bandwidth.
