Abstract: (2913 Views)
Third order dispersion (TOD) is an unavoidable effect in ultra-short chirped pulse amplifier (CPA) systems which can greatly disturb the output pulse shape. A glass slab with the aim of reduction of TOD was located inside the compressor unit and its parameters such as thickness and angle of the slab, gained through the variational optimization method. It is shown that the significant reduction in third-order dispersion on the output pulse can be obtained in the optimal design.
