Abstract- Metal Nanoparticle have significant interesting optical and physical attributes. However they could have been produced easily by simple equipment. In this study by applying Z-scan technique we are going to survey the optical switching properties and saturated absorption of Fe3O4 Nanoparticles in the hydrophilic polymer (PVA) by adding an oscilloscope to laboratory set, we study and discussion about optical switching properties and also the Saturated absorption of Fe3O4 Nanoparticles in the hydrophilic polymer (PVA). Experiments were carried out with open aperture Z-scan technique using a continuous semiconductor laser (diode-laser-450 nm) with 100mW output power and by putting a mechanical chopper in the direction of continuous laser light for converting continuous laser light into pulsed light .The results (Fluctuation percent) demonstrate Saturated absorption and optical switching of iron oxide Nanoparticles in the PVA polymer with a period of 100 microseconds.
