Design and construction of a transmitive reflective Liquid Crystal SLM and investigation of phase and amplitude modulation

in this paper, by using a new commercial high resolution TFT liquid crystal display, a Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) is designed. In order to employ this device as a phase screen, optical properties such as phase and amplitude modulation is studied. By coating a reflective layer, this device can act in the transmission or reflection mode. Finally diagrams of Interferometry setup for phase and amplitude investigations are presented.
