Abstract:   (1236 Views)
In this paper, a single-layer optofluidic chip was designed and fabricated in which a non-adiabatic tapered optical fiber with a diameter of 12 microns was used to detect the real-time frequency of water droplets. This experiment carried out the microfluidic chip. In this study, by using the intensity-based demodulation the output spectrum of the tapered optical fiber was investigated. The droplet formation frequency at 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 kHz was detected in real-time. Finally, the effect of changing the fluid flow rate on the droplet formation frequency was detected as well.
