Focusing characteristics of petal-like zone plate

Abstract- In this work, we propose a novel diffractive lens base on Fresnel zone plate, which is called petal-like zone plate. This diffractive element can turn on incident plane wave into variety of shapes, for example annular, dot or petal beam, in general. We probe its focusing and defocusing properties. As a result, it is revealed that the shape of the generated beam depends directly on the number of the petals. All simulation results are verified by experiments
