Abstract- In this paper, the graphene-Ag/Poly(vinyl chloride) nanocomposite has been prepared by a solution method. Then, the optical constants such as absorption coefficient, extinction coefficient, refractive index, optical band gap (Eg), optical conductivity and dielectric constant were calculated by considering the results of reflectance and transmittance spectra in the UV-Visible wavelength region. The optical band gap of the pure polymer was obtained about 3.79 eV. Finally, it was observed that, adding filler nanoparticles to the polymer matrix reduces the optical band gap of the polymer about 20%.
