Abstract- laser lithotripsy means using laser light for kidney stone fragmentation. In this method, laser light is delivered to the stone surface in human body by optical fiber and endoscopic instrument. The HO: YAG laser has used for lithotripsy from 1990. In this work, different laser parameters are studied in lithotripsy for HO: YAG laser. The results declare increasing laser pulse energy and laser pulse duration and reducing laser spot size on the stone surface can cause better lithotripsy. In addition laser repetition rate at 5HZ is more efficient.
