Abstract: (5542 Views)
In this paper, the time evolution of femtosecond laser pulses is studied during the amplification process in a multipass power amplifier. By considering self-phase modulation effect as the main origin of wing noise, in a typical Ti:Sapphire laser system with a pulse duration of 100 femtosecond, the feasibility of employing a CdSe semiconductor wafer with negative nonlinear refraction index for removing the wing noise is investigated.
