In this paper, the generation of non-classical state for the cavity field is investigated by controlling the Lamb-Dicke parameter. It is shown that although there is no apparently non-linear characteristic in the Hamiltonian within the first order of the Lamb-Dicke approximation, when the effective Hamiltonian is obtained, the system shows an inherent non-linearity. By using the superoperator method, the analytical expression for the density operator is obtained and then the atomic population inversion is analysed. Moreover, by using the dynamical evolution and analysing the Q-distribution function of the field, the non-classical properties of the radiation field is investigated. We show that the quadrature squeezing field will occur for one of the quadrature field components.
