In this paper, the absorption of nonlinear laser energy in electron-positron-ion plasma in the presence of an axial magnetic field is studied using the 2D PIC simulation method. The results show the absorption of laser energy in the electron-positron-ion plasma increases with increasing positron-to-electron density ratio. Moreover, the absorption rate increases even more by magnetic field. The obtained results on the magnetized plasma heating can be related to the astrophysical laboratory environments.
