Abstract: (894 Views)
The discovery of graphene nanostructures attracted a great attention in this class of materials. In this paper, we investigate the nonlinear optical properties of graphene oxide. We applied spatial self-phase modulation to estimate the nonlinear refractive index of n2 and third-order electrical susceptibility of X3 for graphene oxide dispersed in NMP solution at four different concentrations. A 532 nm continuous-wave Nd:YAG laser was used in the experiment. According to obtained experimental data, the n2 and X3 values measured in the range of 10-7 cm2/W and 10-11 e.s.u. X
