Abstract: (818 Views)
In this paper, the interaction of ultra-short laser pulse with the free electrons has been studied, numerically. The aim of this study is the investigation on the effect of ultra-short laser pulse chirping on the electron scattering process. The results indicate that the transverse ponder-motive force symmetry is broken when the chirped laser pulses are used and thus the electrons experience anisotropic scattering in space. The importance of this issue relates to the bubble regime acceleration that plays an important role in the production of the acceleration cavity, the improvement of the laser energy absorption by the trapped electrons, and then the quality control of the generated electron beam.
