Wireless communications via electromagnetic waves at Terahertz frequencies, between implanted nanomachines inside the body as well as smart wearable devices outside the body, can be used in vital human signs monitoring and in general health monitoring. In this paper, we peruse absorption and scattering loss due to Terahertz propagation through blood, fat, skin and air layers as well as reflection from their boundaries. The simulation results show that blood layer with absorption loss of 395.9-641.6dB and fat layer with scattering loss of 37.51-222.3dB in the wavelength range of 0.3-3mm, are the main reason of the path loss during terahertz wave propagation.
