Abstract: (940 Views)
Recently photoluminescence oxygen sensors based on platinum complex have attracted considerable attention for applications in biomedical engineering and biotechnology due to the precise, noncontact, noninvasive and real-time measurement. Usually measurement of the metal complex lifetime is used to investigate the oxygen concentration. Here measurement of absorption and photoluminescence spectra of PtTFPP complex in a polymer matrix is utilized to study its optical properties. A 532 nm pulsed laser with 40 ns pulse-length is employed to measure its phosphorescence lifetime. Average lifetime of 34.6 μs is achieved using two-term exponential function and the Levenberg Marquardt algorithm.
