Abstract: (6470 Views)
In this paper, we investigate the medium effects of a dispersive and absorbing dielectric mater on the quantum optical properties of incident input states at zero temperature. For this purpose, we calculate the quadrature squeezing, the Mandel parameter and the second-order quantum correlation of output states, by using the phenomenological approach and modeling the dielectric slab by the Lorentz model, for a situation that incident states on the right and left side of the dielectric slab are nonlinear coherent states on a sphere and quantum vacuum state, respectively.
Keywords: Quantization of electromagnetic waves, Nonlinear coherent states on a sphere, quadrature squeezing, Mandel parameter, second-order correlation.
