Abstract: (979 Views)
In this paper, we design a photonic crystal fiber (PCF) for supercontinuum generation (SCG) at a central wavelength of 1300 nm for application in high-resolution dental optical coherence tomography (OCT). This PCF is designed using Lumerical software by the technique of optofluidic infiltration and then we simulate the supercontinuum generation by solving generalized nonlinear Schrodinger equation(GNSE) via split-step Fourier method. In this analysis, to obtain more accurate SCG, dispersion coefficients up to the 8th order, Raman scattering and self-steepening are taken into account. Finally, by changing the parameters of the input spectrum, we obtain the axial resolution obtained from the output supercontinuum generation and reach the most appropriate input parameters for the most optimal image axial resolution in OCT for dental applications.
