Abstract:   (831 Views)
In this research, pulsed laser ablation in liquid (PLAL) method has been used to produce tin-based nanoparticles in ethanol medium. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of external DC electric field on the properties of produced nanoparticles. The experiment was performed in two conditions; without and with the presence of an electric field. Scanning electron microscopy and UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy have been used to characterize the nanoparticles. The results show that the produced nanoparticles are quasi spherical in shape and their average size becomes smaller due to the external electric field. The results also show that in the presence of an electric field, the density of nanoparticles also increases significantly.
