Abstract: (877 Views)
In this paper, the nonlinear wave-breaking formed in the field-ionized plasma during interaction of the intense laser pulse with Hydrogen atoms is investigated using particle-in-cell simulation code. For this purpose, a laser pulse with a length of 300 femtoseconds and a rise-time of 40 femtoseconds is considered. The simulation results show that the wave-breaking in the field-ionized plasma occurs faster than the default ideal plasma. This may be due to the density inhomogeneity of the plasma formed by ionization, which reduces the phase velocity of the plasma wave.
