Abstract: (5275 Views)
In this paper a theoretical method to estimate the number of scattering nanoparticles in an active medium based on random laser theory is introduced. Our sample includes an active medium and the nanoparticles are distributed randomly in it. The sample pumped optically and cause of multiple scattering, random laser can occur. The output emission of the sample with a transfer matrix method is studied. Then the statistical behavior of its emission spectrum is calculated. The results of our simulation shows that the number of nanoparticles can be estimated from the statistical random laser output emission and averaged lasing wavelength.
