Abstract:   (1115 Views)
Simultaneous microscopic imaging and a spectroscopy of biological cell in vitro environment are applied to distinguish between normal cell and cancer cell. The region of spectroscopy is between 480 to 640 nm. Breast cancer cells (MCF-7), hamster ovary cells (Cho) and mesenchymal stem cells are investigated. Hamster ovary cells and the mesenchymal stem cells can be distinguished from cancer cells by analyzing the experimental data with Boltzmann mathematical functions. This method is reproducible and cost-effectiveness. The method can be used as an alternative In-vitro assay to detect cancer cells.
