Abstract:   (5321 Views)
In this paper, the dynamics of excitation energy transfer in a photosynthetic pigment-protein complex, the Fenna-Matthews-Olson complex, interacting with a phonon environment with non-Markovian stochastic manner is investigated. The exact analytical expression for the population of each bacteriochlorophyll molecule in the FMO complex is obtained. It is shown that there exists long-lasting quantum coherence with timescale according to the experimental data at cryogenical and physiological temperatures. In particular, we find that non-Markovian stochastic noises are appropriate sources for rebirth of quantum coherence in photosynthetic complex systems.
