Abstract: (5924 Views)
We have generated plasma in Al, Cu, and Ti by using two lasers of Nd:YAG, and CO2 in the laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) technique. The Nd:YAG laser pulse at 1064 nm and energy of 77mJ with pulse duration of 15 ns and CO2 laser at 10.6 micrometer and energy of 800mJ with pulse duration of 200ns have been used. We have designed time delayed circuit for our lasers and have obtained the spectra of these elements and have compared them with each others. We have concluded that increasing the laser energy and decreasing the time delayed improves increased signal to noise ratio.
