This paper presents the design of a photonic crystal ring resonator based bio MEMS sensor to detect divergent biochemical molecules. As the biochemical molecules have exclusive refractive indices, the resonant wavelength, output transmission and other parameters are varied from one chemical to the other. Two different structures are surveyed to choose the best one.
