Abstract: (1265 Views)
In this paper; the threshold of laser ablation process has been experimented by radiation of CO2 laser on different metals such as Cu, Fe, and Zn with 1×1 Cm2 of areas. Laser pulses are radiated from 3 and 5 Cm. Particle separation from Cu surface show the process threshold is just belong to Cu. XRD analysis recognizes that created material phase is Cu2O. Furthermore, SEM figures well show the separation threshold of Cu2O particles from copper surface. The result illustrate that ablation by 10.6µm CO2 laser starts on Cu surface.
