Abstract: (1682 Views)
Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder that requires careful monitoring of the blood glucose levels. Indeed, glucose, as a kind of sugar, is a source of energy in cell function regulating the metabolism. Here, the polarimetric method has been analyzed, based on measuring the optical properties of glucose solutions. For this purpose, a He-Ne laser with a wavelength of 632 nm is utilized in terms of polarimetry according to rotating quarter wave retarder to obtain the Mueller matrix elements. Finally, the optical properties such as polarizance, depolarization, retardance and diattenuation determined in various conditions by analyzing the Mueller matrices.
