Three-dimensional tracking of bovine sperm by digital holographic microscopy

Finding dynamical characteristics of particles has an especial importance in the area of soft and biological physics. This work introduces an experimental method to track bovine sperm in three dimension as movable bio particles by applying digital holographic microscopy. The work is based on applying image-processing methods and using the obtained information from the hologram record. Pixel size and Resolution of this microscope measured 175 nanometer and better than 2.19 micrometer respectively. We found the coordinates of the particles in three dimension. The average speed of the samples measured 127.51 micrometer per second.
