Co-doping Nitrogen and Silver in TiO2 Structure for Deposition of Active Coating in Visible Spectrum
Abstract: (5608 Views)
In this research, by co-doping nitrogen and various percentage of atomic silver and using silica as aprelayer, a titania coating was deposited on the soda-lime glass sustrate to produce self cleaning surface which is active in visible light irradiation. the materials were synthesized by sol-gel method at room temperature and coated on soda-lime glass by dip-coating method. the prepared samples were characterized by UV-vis absorbance spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and contact angle test. Results represented doping of nitrogen and incrasing silver dopant up to 0.42% can decrease the band gap of titania.
