Abstract: (7104 Views)
Trapping of single aerosol by using optical tweezers is very important to investigate its physical and chemical
properties. In this letter, optical trapping of single solid and liquid aerosols are investigated theoretically by using generalized Lorenz-Mie
theory. The effect of immersion oil versus depth of trapping is investigated and it is shown that by 0.02 changes in refractive
index of immersion oil, the optimum depth shifts about 2 micron to the deeper positions in sample medium. Our results are in agreement with
existed experimental result.
