In this paper, we first study energy spectrum of a two- dimensional harmonic oscillator on a sphere. Then, by using the obtained discrete energy spectrum, we construct Gazeau- Klauder coherent states on the sphere, In what follows, we investigate the quantum optical properties of the constructed coherent states.
