In this paper we try to describe spatial profile characterization of X-ray obtained in the bremsstrahlung process. To do this a metal target with a thickness of 10 mm for the production of X-ray and cell containing CdTe quantum dots as well as diodes array detector were used. The spatial profile of X-ray beam was scanned by z- scan method. Then to ensure accuracy of this scanning, the spatial profile of the X-ray passing through the lead rod was examined. The experimental results showed that using the difference between two previous scanning, lead rod area with good approximation can be obtained.
