Abstract: (3243 Views)
The light beam carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) is generated using a phase difference between two guided polarized orthogonal modes (Hermit-Gaussian HG10 & HG01) in a fiber. The phase difference is achieved with an external stress applied to the fiber using an inline fiber optical polarization controller. The first order fork pattern obtained from interference between the beam with its mirror reflection shows the generation of beam carrying the OAM with l=1 topological charge.
