Abstract- In this study tungsten oxide (WO3) thin layers are deposited on transparent conducting FTO substrate with various precursor volumes of 40 and 60 ml using spray pyrolysis technique. The SEM images showed the formation of nano-grains of 100 nm size or less that becomes smaller and denser by increasing the precursor volume. The XRD spectra of the layers indicated an amorphous structure for both samples. The electro chromic properties of the samples showed the sample prepared with 40 ml precursor volume shows better response compared with that with 60 ml volume. This could be due to its higher porosity and roughness
