In this paper, the finite difference time domain method (FDTD) is employed to investigate the performance of the Raman random lasers. A one-dimensional structure composed of two layers of Raman gain and dielectric medium is considered as the Raman random laser system. We show numerically that by increasing the pump intensity, in addition to the first order Stokes mode, the higher orders of Stokes and Anti-Stokes modes appear in the emission spectra. Moreover, using the curves of output intensity versus pump intensity the threshold values corresponding to different modes are calculated. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that by changing the pump frequency, controlling the emission spectra and tuning of the Stokes and Anti-Stokes modes are possible.
