In this paper, Fresnel transmission, reflection and absorption coefficients of an electromagnetic wave with constant amplitude in the normal incidence to a thin slab of metallic nanoparticles are calculated. Using a Lorentz-Drude damped forced oscillation model and considering various dissipative mechanisms related to the photon absorption, such as electron-electron and electron-phonon scattering, the dielectric constant of the slab is obtained. Effects of different parameters such as thickness of the slab, separation and type of nanoparticles on Fresnel coefficients are investigated.
