An experimental investigation of Thermal induced birefringence loss of a QCW diode pumped Nd:YAG laser at 1KHz operation

Abstract: In this paper the thermal induced birefringence in a QCW diode pumped Nd:YAG laser is investigated .In a polarisoscope arrangement and at 1KHz pulse repetition rate the isogyre patern is analysed .Using a double rod configuration and a 90 polarization rotator between them, the depolarization loss compensation is accomplished .Also an experimental arrangement verifies about %75 depolarization loss compensation.
