Photo thermal effect of unsaturated polyester at He-Ne laser beam

In this paper the photo thermal effects of the second harmonic Nd-YAG laser on the optical properties of an unsaturated polyester medium is investigated. In theoretical point view variations of refractive index of medium due to pumping laser induced temperature distribution pattern have been considered. These variations change the phase of He-Ne laser as a probe beam and hence change its intensity pattern. There is a complete coincidence between calculated intensity pattern and an experimental result is observed.
