Effect of left hand nonlinear materials in the external cavity on the dynamics of semiconductor lasers

In this study, the effect of left hand nonlinear materials in the external cavity on the dynamics of semiconductor lasers is investigated. For this purpose, the performance of the left hand environment is examined and the effect of this materials on dynamics of the out put intensity of laser has been studied. Finally, the time series of these is plotted by the uses of the optical equations and the Lang-Kabayashi lasers rate equations. The numerical results showed that after applying the Left-Hand environment's effects, the unstable output of the laser can be improved to stable and periodic output.
