Design, Simulation and Manufacture of Particle Counter Optical System Based on Laser Scattering

In this Article, the system of particle counter based on optical design is described. The optical system consists of two parts. The first part is transmitting of the laser beam to the interaction region. The second part is collecting of light scattered by dust particles and sending it to the detector. To shape the laser beam in the interaction region, a convex lens and cylindrical lens were used. Also in the second part an elliptical mirror is applied to increase the sensitivity of designed system. Finally our system was compared with a reference system and its optical performance was verified.
