Determining Concentration of the Material Elements with Self-Absorption Correction through optical penetration depth

The concentration of constituent elements of an alloy including gold, silver and copper is compared before and after correction of self-absorption using calibration-free LIBS method. In this method, by selecting two lines for each species, the optical penetration depth is calculated for the lines. Then, the intensity of emission lines, and therefrom the plasma temperature is going to be optimal. Therefore, the concentration of elements is obtained more accurately.
