Design and Simulation of a Wavelength Converter Using Semiconductor Optical Amplifier

In this paper design and simulation of a wavelength converter using a semiconductor optical amplifier has been done. for the first time we use InGaAlAs material as active region material in a Bulk SOA which for 0.42 mole fraction Gallium and 2×1024m-3 carrier density peak of gain approaches at 880nm wavelength comparing with the other researches in the past, the peak of gain is approached in a less wavelength which shows more gain in this paper. Also according to the results we observe that less chirping frequency will approaches.
