Effect of ZnS nanoparticles on the optical properties of polyvinyl alcohol.

PVA-ZnS nanocomposite films were deposited by sel-gel method. Uv-vis were measured in the wavelength range 190-800 nm. Were measurement the optical properties consist of absorb, transmit, reflect, refractive index and energy gap. The optical spectra show the PVA/ZnS films transmit more than 70% of visible wavelengths. According to these measurements absorb and reflective and refractive index increase and transmit percent decrease with increase ZnS nano particles concentration. And energy gap decrease from 5.56 ev(for pure PVA) to 3.5 ev (for PVA+10% ZnS).
