Abstract- LiNbO3 nanoparticles were synthesized by sol-gel method. Structural analysis and optical spectroscopy were used to identify LiNbO3 nanoparticles. To investigate the optical properties of LiNbO3 nanocrystals, UV visible absorption spectroscopy was used which showed that the absorption peak is about 250 nm. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy was also used to identify the chemical composition of the prepared Sol. Finally, two luminescence emission peaks were detected, one at 420 (purple) and the other at 485 nm (blue). Experimental results have shown that liNbO3 nanocrystals have been synthesized with strong purple and blue emissions that have sufficient potential for quantum photonic applications such as waveguides.
