Abstract: (2604 Views)
In this paper a novel improved method for three-dimensional (3D) imaging is proposed based on the existing 3D imaging methods. In this method, which we call it the merged imaging (MI) technique, by combining two 3D imaging methods i.e., integral imaging and incoherent holography and using the positive features of each we are able to overcome the trade-off between resolution and depth-of-field and reach to an improved 3D resolution. Simulation results confirm the superiority of the proposed method compared to previous 3D imaging techniques.
Keywords: three-dimensional imaging, integral imaging, lateral resolution, depth resolution, incoherent holography.
